Jillian Noel Shennessy born 25th November, 1968 in Canada, is a Canadian performer and actress who has been acknowledged for her contributions for American television. The show has been highly praised for her stellar performances in the American television series Law & Order in which she was Claire Kincaid as a prosecutor for three seasons. She also appeared on Crossing Jordan, wherein she played Jordan Cavanaugh the main character over a period of six years. Hennessy showcased her talents in independent films like Chutney Popcorn or The Acting Class. Hennessy started her career as an actor in Dead Ringers with her sister. She briefly appeared in Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway in 1990. In 1993, the actress stepped out of the world of musicals to enter the sci-fi genre as Doctor. Marie Lazarus. The following fall year, she joined in the ensemble cast of the NBC hit crime drama Law & Order in the part of the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid.
