Charissa is an American Sportscaster born on May 5, 1982. ESPN analyst that was appointed as co-host of SportsNation for the year 2012. She co-hosted ABC's Splash show with Joey Lawrence. Thompson grew as a child in Seattle Washington. As the youngest of her 3 siblings, Thompson was aware the broadcasting career was something she always wanted to do from an early age. Thompson attended Inglemoor High School at Kenmore Washington. Thompson relocated to California, where she attended the community college. Thompson was admitted to the University of California Santa Barbara afterward, where she earned an associate's degree. In 2004, she graduated with the B.A. in Law and Society. Thompson says she did not have a degree from Washington State University (WSU), as Sports Illustrated claimed. Thompson was offered by Sports Illustrated to do body painting in their Swimsuit issue prior to beginning her career in broadcasting.
